We know that attending university can be expensive, so we launched The HOTH SEO scholarship contest as a way to help offset the cost of continuing education.

We just extended our HOTH SEO Scholarship application to Dec 31st 2017!

If you are accepted into an accredited university or are currently attending, you can apply and win $1000 USD.

Last year’s winner was Tom Overman who submitted his article “How Companies Can Take Advantage of Digital Marketing – A Comprehensive Guide

A little about Tom:

What school are you attending?
I am attending The University of Texas at Arlington.

Where are you from
I was born in Arlington, TX, but both of my parents (and the rest of my family) originate from The Netherlands.

What are you studying?
I am studying biomedical engineering, and I hope to get a second major or a minor in computer science.

What are you planning to do in the future (after school?)
I hope to further my education in graduate school studying tissue engineering or work as an engineer at a biotech firm. I currently work as a web developer and online marketer and will continue this through my undergraduate studies. I hope to take these skills to my future work, and who knows, I might stick with online marketing!

Have you achieved any other awards?
I was recognized as a National AP Scholar by College Board. I received the President’s Charter Scholarship from my university. I graduated summa cum laude from James Martin High School. I also was the 2nd place regional finalist for Science UIL and competed in the State Competition.

Are you involved in any campus clubs / activities?
I am a part of Mobi at UTA which is a student organization that focuses on web and app development. I was also a part of an intramural flag football team this Fall.
